About Mooncast Films

the man behind the lens...

Hi, my name is Tomasz Kornatowski and I am the lead videographer and filmmaker at Mooncast Films. I was born in Warsaw, Poland and moved to the UK in 2004, where I live with my wife and twins. I have always loved making videos and started out professionally over 6 years ago, mainly filming and producing promotional videos for small to medium sized businesses. About 3 years ago I setup Mooncast Films specialising in wedding videos and Sudbury Drone Videography specialising in aerial drone videography. The drone videography also forms part of Mooncast Films wedding video services, enabling us to create stunning panoramic aerial video sequences for our wedding video productions.

I have recently left my full time job to focus solely on my passion for videography and film production. When I am not busy filming a wedding you will find me on a video, photography or production course, or out with my cameras experimenting with new techniques, as I strive for excellence in what I do. I have recently completed courses with the industry's leading videographers including:

  • The Everlasting Journey - 2 day workshop with 'Best UK Wedding Cinematographer 2017' Gione Da Silva

  • The Heart Beating - 3 days Workshop with Philip White – one of world’s best wedding videographers

  • Superweddings - 2 days workshop with Sebastian Nandryka – best world destination wedding videographer

Our Ethos

Our ethos is to capture everlasting memories that you’ll treasure forever through the personalised wedding video production we create just for you.

Why would you hire us?

It's your special day and everything needs to be just right!

Naturally you want to hire a videographer you can trust to turn-up on your wedding day and capture the important events of the day as they unfold, but of course a wedding is so much more than a documentary!  Myself and my skilled videography team are highly experienced in the filming and production of wedding videos. We know what to film, what to look for and how to pull it all together as a finished wedding video production you will treasure.

if you haven't guessed by now, film making is my passion and with every wedding video we shoot I feel incredibly honoured to be part of so many couples’ journey into married life together.

How do we work?

We fully expect that, as a bride and groom, you will be caught-up in the excitement of your special day. It is your day and most important that you spend your wedding celebrating monumental moments with your family and friends.  That is why, before we film your wedding, we will take the time to get to know you a little. We will ask questions about you to understand exactly what is most important to you personally as a couple, so we know what to capture on your wedding day.

Our team will obviously setup on the day to capture the most important moments of your wedding, such as the arrival of the bride, the ceremony, the speeches, cutting the cake and the first dance.  A wedding is of course so much more than that. As part of our filming we will be your eyes and ears around the venue on the day, discretely capturing the essence of the event and the interactions between you and your guests that make it personal and memorable to the two of you as a couple.

what kind of wedding videos do we produce?

This will depend on your preferences, but typically we produce personalised cinematic video productions.

As it is your special day you will no doubt tell us what you want us to film. If you are like most couples you will want us to film the two of you together and to encapsulate all the emotions and sentiments of the occasion. Our video team will endeavour to capture the interactions between you and your guests and the little details that are important to you, such as the design of the dress,  the style of the hair, the clasp of hands cutting the wedding cake, the tears of joy and the smiles, all of which make the video something you will cherish forever.

We can also combine creative cut-away footage whilst a speech is being made, where we show the little details and the interactions between guests or perhaps some footage of the two of you together alone on the day.

Aerial / Drone Videography

We can also include aerial footage with the use of our drone videography equipment, which is great for venue shots, arrivals, outdoor group shots and romantic videos of the bride and groom.
